Pastor Julian Leville Von Joyner is a native of Chesapeake Va. He was born on March 14, 1979 to Dr. Ronnie & Olliette Joyner and has an older brother, Ronnie. At the age of 33 he accepted the call to preach the Gospel of Jesus. Pastor Joyner is affectionately known as Ju.
Upon his call to the ministry, he served as minister of Praise and Worship at his fathers’ church, The Philadelphia Fellowship.
He received his education in the Chesapeake Public School system and graduated from Indian River High School in 1997. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications in 2001.
After receiving his degree, he pursued his love of radio and became the Program Director and Morning show host on WGPL 1350 a.m., where he has had the opportunity to interview and work with the top artists in the Gospel Music industry and has traveled across the country to host concerts.
He has served as Youth Pastor at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church in Norfolk, Va., and First Baptist Church in Franklin, Va.
He currently serves as Pastor of Smithfield Baptist Church located in Gloucester, Va. He is also pursuing his Masters of Arts degree in the area of Pastoral Counseling/Life Coaching from Liberty University.
Pastor Ju is a proud member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity INC. He is married to Trin’ea and they are the parents of their beautiful daughter Reynah and another daughter arriving in December. They reside in Suffolk Va.
His favorite bible verse is Luke 1:37, because he knows that nothing is impossible when God is on your side.
